Serra da Arrábida

Serra da Arrábida

Duration: 8 hours

Capacity: up to 8 people

Starting Point: Hotel

Depart from your hotel across the iconic 25 de Abril Bridge and head south to Sesimbra, a charming whitewashed fishing village where a medieval castle perches on the cliffs above the Atlantic. We then wind through the dramatic mountains of Arrábida Natural Park, stopping at breathtaking viewpoints and visiting a 16th-century Franciscan monastery hidden among the pines above a turquoise sea.

In Setúbal, explore a traditional fish market adorned with azulejo tiles before sitting down to a fresh seafood lunch on the waterfront. The afternoon brings a wine tasting at the legendary José Maria da Fonseca winery — home to one of the world's finest Moscatel wines — and a visit to an artisan azulejo workshop where tiles are still made by hand using 15th-century techniques. We return to Lisbon with a final stop at the Cristo Rei statue, with panoramic views over the city and the Tagus river.
