Lisbon Walking
Duration: 4 hours
Capacity: up to 8 people
Starting Point: Carmo Square
This 4-hour walking tour of Lisbon begins at the historic Carmo Square, surrounded by elegant architecture and the famous Carmo Convent ruins. From there, we stroll through the charming Chiado district, known for its cafés, theaters, and literary atmosphere, before reaching lively Praça Luís de Camões.
The route continues down into the heart of Baixa, Lisbon’s downtown area rebuilt after the 1755 earthquake. We walk along the famous Rua Augusta toward the impressive Arco da Rua Augusta and the grand waterfront square Praça do Comércio.
The tour then explores the old Jewish Quarter and continues to the magnificent Lisbon Cathedral, the city’s oldest church. Afterward, we climb to the beautiful Miradouro de Santa Luzia viewpoint for panoramic views over the red rooftops and the Tagus River. The walk finishes in the atmospheric Alfama neighborhood, famous for its narrow streets, traditional houses, and authentic Fado spirit.
